Uncompromising antiscalants.
Performance, quality, value and real expertise.
Better RO plant performance.
With the right antiscalant you can increase RO plant performance and reduce operating costs. Achieve higher recoveries without scaling, improve energy efficiency, reduce cleaning frequency and extend membrane life.
ROPUR antiscalants are the result of over 30 years of Swiss research, and today are trusted in major RO plants worldwide.
Formulated with high quality ingredients and manufactured under precisely controlled conditions, these concentrated antiscalants are highly effective and engineered to perform.
Tailored to your application.
Every feed-water chemistry is different, so determining the correct antiscalant and dose rate is critical in ensuring scale prevention.
We take a rigorous scientific approach, using aqueous equilibrium analysis software to speciate your feed-water. With this guidance, we then select and model the performance of the optimal antiscalant and dose for your RO plant.
The range of ROPUR antiscalants are ideal for Australian applications; from industrial, mining and CSG water treatment, to brackish RO, desalination, and brine concentration.
Safely protects all membranes.
ROPUR antiscalants are compatible with all leading membrane brands and types, including Toray, Dow Filmtec, Hydranautics and GE Suez.
They protect your membrane investment from damaging scale formation, while aiding stable operation at optimal recovery and flux - also helping to inhibit surface bio-fouling. Reduced fouling means less frequent cleaning, and a potentially longer membrane lifespan.
ROPUR antiscalants are environmentally friendly, non-hazardous for safe handling, and low viscosity for easy, precise liquid dosing.
Quality, backed by Toray.
Manufactured in Germany to exacting specifications, ISO9001 quality and ISO14001 environmental standards, every ROPUR antiscalant is of the highest purity and quality.
As a brand of Toray Membrane Europe, ROPUR
draws on Toray's expertise in membrane technology, developing antiscalants that enhance RO plant performance and protect membranes, whatever the application.

How do ROPUR antiscalants work?
Antiscalants protect RO membranes from the compounds found in brackish, seawater and brine feed-waters, which concentrate through the reverse osmosis process and can cause crystal growth, scale formation and fouling at the membrane surface.
ROPUR antiscalants contain fouling inhibitors to disrupt scale crystal growth. Techniques used include crystal distortion (to cause irregular crystal structures and poor scale-forming ability), the threshold effect (to prevent precipitation of salts which have reached saturation), and the anti-fouling dispersancy effect (by charging the surface of scale crystals, causing repulsion).

Trial a better antiscalant in your RO plant.
We're with you at every step, to get your RO plant really performing.
1Assess
We begin by analysing your feed-water chemistry and RO plant characteristics, then recommend an ideal antiscalant. Detailed membrane modelling to simulate performance improvements gives you confidence in the outcomes and benefits before trialling.
2Trial
Put ROPUR to the test, for a trial period in your RO plant, to see real results. For larger plants, consider trialling in a single train to compare trends. We also have experience in pilot plant trials and offsite bench-testing, using collected feed-water samples.
3Review
With involvement throughout the process, we can provide a comprehensive before-after review of plant data and trends, to show tangible evidence of membrane protection and improved performance.
